As the 2019 Chinese New Year approaches, the exhibition Blue Green Landscape Paintings by Zheng Baizhong was held at Poly Culture Art Center as an undoubtedly important art event in 2019. The exhibition is also a part of the 2019 Chinese New Year Celebrations introduced by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver.
The exhibition features more than 50 pieces of blue-green landscape painting by Zheng Baizhong. These works are of various shapes, colours, and media including scrolls and fans, demonstrating profound artistry in depicting the splendid rivers and mountains. Zheng Baizhong lived in the U.S. for more than 10 years and is known as a representative artist of traditional Chinese painting living abroad.
This exhibition further provides an arena for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Canada; through culture and art, and builds a bridge to strengthen the communication and understanding between people of the two countries. So far, Zheng Baizhong has held more than 50 solo exhibitions in major cities of mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, and Italy.
Zheng Baizhong’s paintings are also collected by organizations such as China’s Ministry of Culture, the National Art Museum of China, China Academy of Art, Shanghai Artists Association, Jiangsu Art Museum, Zhejiang Museum, Nanjing Museum, Li Keran Museum of Art, Kaohsiung Cultural Center in Taiwan, China Cultural Center in Paris, and museums and universities in the U.S. He has won various art awards in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S. Since 1995, Zheng Baizhong’s works have been recognized by the art market and favoured by collectors and investors.
