On December 11, the Development Trend of China-Canada Trade Seminar was successfully held by the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) in Vancouver Poly Art Gallery. The Consul General of Consulate General of the PRC in Vancouver Xiaoling Tong, the counsellor of Consulate General of the PRC, Shanjun Yu, the President of CCBC Graham Shantz, the CEO of Poly Culture North America Yi Chen, and other 80 distinguished guests attended this seminar. The recent progress of the trade negotiation between China and Canada was discussed.
Established in 1978, the CCBC is one of the most influential organization in the field of exchange between China and Canada. Feng Xiang first presented the 40th anniversary honorary award to the professor Pitman Potter, the director of the institute of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia, for his important contribution to the trade between China and Canada.
Feng Xiang then delivered a speech on the more than 50 mutually beneficial outcomes from the first round of China-Canada economic and financial strategic meeting held in November at Beijing.
Xiaoling Tong, the Consul General of Consulate General of the PRC in Vancouver, was invited to give a speech at the seminar. She expressed her appreciation to the council for its pioneering role in promoting bilateral economic trade between China and Canada.
Yi Chen, the CEO of Poly Culture North America expressed that she was honored to provide the platform for this trade exchange discussion.
